Last night, Tuesday, Feb. 26, the Grammy Award-winning artist officially arrived at his new home at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino after stopping traffic on the famous Las Vegas Strip by riding on a flatbed truck with a flaming piano surrounded by dancing showgirls. EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL prepares to paint the Las Vegas Strip red, one bloody t-shirt at a time, as it moves into the V Theater, located in the Miracle Mile Shops at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. Starting June 22nd, EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL will be taking up residency in Sin City on Fridays at 10pm and Saturdays at 11:30pm, with ticket prices ranging from $39.99 to $59.99. Happy Birthday, Charles Strouse! Strouse's first Broadway musical was the 1960 hit Bye Bye Birdie, with lyrics by Lee Adams, who would become his long time collaborator. Following this was Golden Boy (1964, also with Adams), starring Sammy Davis, Jr. and It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's Superman (1966, based on the popular comic strip) which introduced the song 'You've Got Possibilities' sung by Linda Lavin. In 1970, Applause (starring Lauren Bacall, with book by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, and lyrics by Adams) won Strouse his second Tony Award. In 1977, Strouse adapted another comic strip for the stage, creating the hit Annie, which garnered him his third Tony Award and two Grammy Awards. Other Strouse musicals include Charlie and Algernon (1979), Dance a Little Closer (1983, with lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner), Rags (1986), Nick & Nora (1993), and An American Tragedy (1995, with lyrics by David Shaber).

The Skivvies have released their fourth installment of a stripped down song, Lana Del Rey's 'Diet Mountain Dew'.

This holiday season ABC will again air the 'PEANUTS' Christmas special, 'I Want a Dog for Christmas, Charlie Brown!,' produced and animated by the same team that has gave us the other, now classic cartoon specials based on Charles M. Schulz's famed comic strip. 'I Want a Dog for Christmas, Charlie Brown!' will air MONDAY, DECEMBER 12 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET)

Liza Minnelli last starred on Broadway in Liza's at The Palace...! which earned a Tony Award for Best Special Theatrical Event. Minnelli has won a total of three Tony Awards awards, including a Special Tony Award. She has also won an Oscar, an Emmy Award, two Golden Globes and a Grammy Legend Award for her contributions and influence in the recording field, along with many other honors and awards. She is one of the few entertainers who have won an Oscar, Emmy, Grammy, and Tony Award.

The Las Vegas Spectacular made history this weekend, when more than 1800 'Phantoms' gathered at The Phantom Theatre at The Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino to celebrate the legendary show's fourth anniversary on the Las Vegas Strip.

This marks the first time in BROADWAY BARES history that the $1 million dollar mark was reached, a goal that had been set this January by BARES creator and executive producer, Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell.
