A few weeks ago the cast of SPIDER-MAN TURN OFF THE DARK Performed 'Rise Above' on The Late Show. Below, catch a glimpse of the song in full performance!

Last night's episode of Saturday Night Live featured a Weekend Update spoof in which Seth Myers interviewed 'Julie Taymor' about the recent events unfolding at SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK. At one point, Taymor jokes that the mega-musicals bad luck comes from the two people in charge of props named Mac and Beth.

The production has released new footage of T.V. Carpio performing 'Rise Above' which has been seen as an anthem by the show's creative team and cast as well to ignore the negative attention that's been lavished upon the production.

Among serious doubts about the premiere next week and today's news that director Julie Taymor is out the door, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark's stars Reeve Carney and Jennifer Damiano speak out in Page Six Magazine, free inside the New York Post tomorrow. The two defend Taymor, and comment on the bad reviews and the on-stage accidents.

The stars of SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark appeared on CBS's 'The Early Show' this morning, March 1. In a sit-down interview with Chris Wragge, stars Reeve Carney, Jennifer Damiano, and T.V. Carpio discussed the show and their performance that night on 'The Late Show With David Letterman,' where they debuted the show's Act I anthem, 'Rise Above.'

From last night (February 12)'s episode of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE... 'The law firm of Gublin and Green will represent anyone injured watching or acting in 'Spider-Man' on Broadway.'

After many major newspapers published their reviews for SPIDER-MAN Turn Off the Dark on Tuesday, other major news outlets are picking up on the buzz: the $65 million (and counting) spectacle was essentially lambasted across the board. With a headline that screamed 'THE NATIONAL JOKE', NBC's The Today Show spoke with critic Ben Brantley and producer Michael Cohl, and had a look at the reviews, saying '[The reviewers note that] the show is 'hanging on by a thread'...'laughable'...and these are the good ones.' Last Night, Christopher Tierney, the actor badly injured during the $65 million Broadway musical 'Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark,' returned to the theater for the first time since his accident to watch the show.

Carpio has officially assumed the role of 'Arachne' in SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark, replacing Natalie Mendoza who departed the production last week after suffering a concussion at an early preview. Directed by Julie Taymor and featuring a book by Julie Taymor and Glen Berger, and new music and lyrics by U2's Bono and The Edge, SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark is now in previews at Broadway's Foxwoods Theatre (213 West 42nd Street).
