Quest Water reports that the primary purpose of the trip was to meet with the Company's new Angolan partner, Nurcil Trading - Comércio e Indústria, Lda. ('NTCI') and attend meetings with Angolan government officials to continue toward negotiating a final Agreement. The Agreement with the Ministry of Industry and the Ministry of Energy & Water, when completed, would see AQUAtap Community Drinking Water Stations installed in rural communities throughout Angola, and construction of an AQUAtap fabrication and assembly facility in the Viana Industrial Park, 30 kilometers east of Angola's capital, Luanda. The consequences of the shortage of safe water are severe. The United Nations' World Health Organization estimates that more than three billion cases of illness and five million deaths - the majority children - can be attributed annually to unsafe water. The death rate for children alone is estimated at one every twenty seconds. Those numbers may rise in the early years of this century; with the world population surpassing seven billion in 2011.
