Blue Star Theatre's Program for Military Families Reaches 108 Participating Theatres in 35 States; San Diego Event Set for Today

Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, and Blue Star Families, the country's largest chapter-based military families non-profit organization, have announced that 108 theatres in 35 states have now joined the Blue Star Theatres program. In partnership between TCG and Blue Star Families, with support from MetLife Foundation, Blue Star Theatres connects a variety of theatre offerings to military personnel and their families across the United States. This initiative recognizes the profound contributions of service families and seeks to build stronger connections between theatres, military families and their communities through unique programming, special discounts and more. Wainhouse Research Predicts Business Use of Live Online Video to Double by 2016

SAN FRANCISCO, March 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ While the widespread use of social media and video on smartphones and tablets has dominated perceptions of how Americans are using IT services, a rapidly growing number of executives and their companies are reaching out to employees and other key audiences via live online video at their desktop computers and laptops. Moreover, the number of hours that business users engage in live online video is expected to double by 2016, and total viewership will reach nearly 3 billion hours (2.92 billion) annually in 2017, according to a report being released this week by Wainhouse Research. After lengthy workshops with over 30 medically discharged military personnel and a professional playwright and director, a new play entitled THE TWO WORLDS OF CHARLIE F was unveiled at two fund-raising evenings.
