Lincoln Center Theater, under the direction of Producing Artistic Director Andre Bishop, has announced that Bianca Amato, Shirine Babb, John Patrick Doherty, Austin Durant, Richard Easton, Francesca Faridany, Stephanie Fieger, Malcolm Gets, John Glover, Ben Horner, Ruy Iskandar, Brian d'Arcy James, Byron Jennings, Aaron Krohn, Jeremiah Maestas, Christopher McHale, Jonny Orsini, Sam Poon, Triney Sandoval, Nathan Stark, Daniel Sunjata, Patrick Vaill, Tyler Lansing Weaks and Derek Wilson will join Ethan Hawke and Anne-Marie Duff in its upcoming production of Shakespeare's MACBETH, directed by Jack O'Brien. The production, which will feature a cast of 27, will begin previews on Thursday, October 24 and open on Thursday, November 21 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street). (more...)

KPMG, LLP will be awarded the Sidney Harman Award for Philanthropy in the Arts. Sierra Stages Presents Series of Three Informal Play Readings Beginning 10/30

Sierra Stages has announced a series of three informal play readings at the Off Center Stage in Grass Valley. Entitled "Off Nights at the Off Center," the series includes the plays: "THE REAL INSPECTOR HOUND" by Tom Stoppard on Tuesday October 30, "THE CRIPPLE OF INISHMAAN" by Martin McDonagh on Wednesday November 7 and "Painting Churches" by Tina Howe on Wednesday November 14. Grammy Nominee Nelson Gonzalez Joins Second Stage Theatre's THE HAPPIEST SONG PLAYS LAST Creative Team

Grammy Award-nominated musician Nelson Gonzalez has joined the creative team of the upcoming Second Stage Theatre production of THE HAPPIEST SONG PLAYS LAST, written by 2012 Pulitzer Prize winner Quiara Alegria Hudes and directed by Tony Award winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson.
