For the first time, Netflix will follow an MLB team over the course of a full season. This docuseries will feature one of sports' most historic teams, the Boston Red Sox, and provide viewers a window into what it takes to compete across a season's ups and downs in one of the most rabid sports environments.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley is launching the New Year with three world premiere livestreamed performances in partnership with Hershey Felder Presents Live from Florence. First up is Hershey Felder as Sholem Aleichem in BEFORE FIDDLER, presented live at 5pm PST on Sunday, February 7, 2021. Decades before the beloved musical Fiddler on the Roof first delighted audiences, there was Sholem Aleichem and his beloved character of ‘Tevye the Milkman.’ Long before songs like “Tradition,” “If I Were a Rich Man” and “Sunrise, Sunset” first beguiled audiences, there was klezmer, a music that imitated talking, laughing, weeping, and singing, and where musicians didn’t just make music, they spoke to audiences in song. Acclaimed playwright & performer Felder will play Sholem Aleichem, giving audiences the true story of what happened ‘Before Fiddler.’ He will be joined by Florence’s celebrated Klezmerata Fiorentina, comprised of top musicians from Florence’s world-famous Orchestra of the Maggio Musicale. Filmed partially on location where the events actually took place, this production will feature the stories and characters of Sholem Aleichem, along with authentic klezmer music that is sure to move the soul. As always, Felder is fascinating and delightful to talk to, simultaneously brainy and emotionally transparent, and confident enough in his own talents to be open about his enduring fears.

We’re now one month into 2021, and while many plans are still being held pretty loosely, more and more companies are developing their plans to return to live in-person performances. In those conversations, they couch those plans in all sorts of disclaimers, but there is a developing sense that by the end of this year things will be starting to feel more ‘normal’ - and in some places that sense could return even sooner.

Atlantis Theatrical Entertainment Group has announced the full cast for the Tony Award-nominated Broadway musical, SIDE SHOW, which opens on August 31 at Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza, Makati.

The New York Philharmonic will present Messiaen Week, March 7-13, 2016, honoring the legacy of French composer and organist Olivier Messiaen (1908-92) through performances of his works, from the symphonic to solo works, as well as music by those whom he influenced.

This April, Lorin Maazel conducts the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra in two concerts of works by Richard Strauss at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage. On Friday, April 11 at 8:00 p.m., the orchestra performs Also sprach Zarathustra, Op. 30, and Till Eulenspiegels lustige Streiche, Op. 28, and is joined by pianist Emanuel Ax for Burleske. The following evening, Saturday, April 12 at 8:00 p.m., soprano Karita Mattila sings the composer's Four Last Songs. Also on the program is Ein Heldenleben, Op. 40, and the Der Rosenkavalier Suite. The Munich Philharmonic Orchestra last performed at Carnegie Hall in 2002.

English playwright David Hare has selected blu by Virginia Grise as the 2010 winner of the annual Yale Drama Series competition. The runners-up are Siona MacDuff by Mary Hamilton and Nineteen Kinds of Peril by Tom Lavignino.
