A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company, continues its 2014-2015 REVOLUTIONary season with The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde, which opens on Saturday, September 27 and runs through Saturday, November 22, 2014. Directed by five-time L.A. Drama Critics Circle Award-winner Michael Michetti, this is the second production of The Importance of Being Earnest for A Noise Within, which mounted the play originally in their 1993-94 and 1994-95 seasons. Rock Legend Chrissie Hynde Coming to Wells Fargo Center for the Arts, 12/4

Today Wells Fargo Center for the Arts announced that leader of the new wave rock group The Pretenders, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame artist Chrissie Hynde will perform a one-night-only concert at the Ruth Finley Person Theater (50 Mark West Springs Road) in Santa Rosa on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 8:00 pm coinciding with the release of her critically and commercially hailed new album Stockholm, which debuted in the U.S. Top 40 upon its June release from Will Travel/Caroline Records. Hynde will be performing critically acclaimed songs from her new album such as the single “Dark Sunglasses,” as well as hits from her years with The Pretenders. Florida Georgia Line to Perform Live on NASHVILLE Season Premiere

Superstar duo Florida Georgia Line will perform live on the season premiere of “Nashville,” airing WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET/PT) on the ABC Television Network. FGL will perform a song live for the east coast and then again for the west coast airing of the show. This is the first time that a real-life recording artist has performed live on the series, and the premiere will also include the previously announced live solo performances earlier in the show by “Nashville” stars Chris Carmack and Charles Esten. Happy Birthday, Chad Kimball! After moving to New York, he was hired for the Broadway musical, The Civil War, joining the show 3 weeks before it closed. He was in the Off-Broadway revival of Godspell (2000) and the Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods (2002) as Milky-White the cow. He appeared in the Broadway musicals Lennon and Good Vibrations in 2005. Kimball originated 'Huey' in the musical Memphis at the La Jolla Playhouse in 2008, starred in the Broadway production, and earned a Tony nomination for his performance. (more...)

Actress/lawyer Allison Brush made her very well-received cabaret debut at Upstairs at Vitello's Sunday September 14 with her show entitled For This You Went to Law School? Once an actress/singer, Brush, discouraged by rejection like many, left the profession and studied law, passing the bar exam on her first try. Now after many successful years as a lawyer, in which she claims she was miserable, she is returning to show biz, something she has sorely missed. In fact, participating in weekly sessions of Open Mic at the Gardenia and studying with songstress/master teacher Karen Morrow - law by day and singing at night - singing became her therapy.
