The 62nd BFI London Film Festival in partnership with American Express® today announces its full programme, featuring a diverse selection of 225 feature films from both established and emerging talent. This 12-day celebration of cinema illustrates the richness of international filmmaking, with films to delight and entertain audiences, and also films that probe and interrogate issues of significance.

In any election year but especially this one, certain topics are fraught with emotion and high stakes. Immigration is one of those topics, and theatre is a way to approach it safely but meaningfully. As a theatre company that recently emigrated back to the United States from Australia, Ward Theatre Company is perhaps exceptionally well suited to explore immigration on the stage, and it does so through "I Wish You a Boat," its original and trademark production.

The Great Upheaval: Modern Art from the Guggenheim Collection, 1910-1918 illuminates the dynamism of this fertile period, as artists hurtled toward abstraction and the ultimate 'great upheaval' of a catastrophic war, and also highlights the masterpieces of modern art that launched the museum's collection. The exhibition unites the Guggenheim Foundation's remarkable collections in New York and Venice in order to trace the origins of the museum and capture the spirit and dynamism of the European avant-garde.
