Jill Eikenberry to Lead in Jack Canfora's JERICHO at 59E59 Theaters, Begin 10/4

59E59 Theaters (Elysabeth Kleinhans, Artistic Director; Peter Tear, Executive Producer) welcomes the return of The Directors Company with the New York premiere of JERICHO, written by Jack Canfora and directed by Evan Bergman. JERICHO begins performances on Friday, October 4 for a limited engagement through Sunday, November 3. Press opening is Thursday, October 10 at 7:15 PM. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:15 PM; Friday at 8:15 PM; Saturday at 2:15 PM & 8:15 PM; and Sunday at 3:15 PM. Please note, there are no performances on Thursday, October 17 and Friday, October 18. Performances are at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues). In her smart comedy The Book Club Play, D.C.-area playwright Karen Zacarķas examines the intricacies of book clubs, with their unspoken rules, high-spirited debates and strong bonds formed when least expected. With an ensemble cast featuring Fred Arsenault, Ashlie Atkinson, Rachael Holmes, Eric Messner, Kate Eastwood Norris and Tom Story, this is Zacarķas' second collaboration with Director Molly Smith at Arena Stage and is the first work of a Resident Playwright to be produced as part of their three-year residencies through the American Voices New Play Institute. The Book Club Play runs October 7-November 6, 2011 in the Arlene and Robert Kogod Cradle. (more...)

Making his STC mainstage directing debut, STC Associate Director Alan Paul heads up the hilarious and fun musical farce based on the classic plays of ancient Roman playwright Plautus.
