On the 30th anniversary of its 1984 release, The Wailers will be in concert at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Sunday, May 18, at 8 p.m. performing the iconic album Legend in its entirety, which features the bands biggest hits of all time including 'I Shot The Sheriff', 'Redemption Song', 'Jamming' and many, many more. Special guest is Makua, the ambassador of Aloha, who is an accomplished ukulele player, singer and surfer. This event is underwritten by The Mango Tree and is part of the Xfinity Rock Series.
The Arvo Part Project at St. Vladimir's Seminary presents a concert in Carnegie Hall devoted to the music of Estonian composer Arvo Part. The concert will take place on Saturday, May 31 at 8:00 p.m. in Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium, and will feature performers closely associated with Mr. Part's music. The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra announces the subject matter of the upcoming works to receive their world premieres by the Orchestra as part of the groundbreaking artistic collaboration with the MusicNOW Festival and Artistic Director Bryce Dessner. On Today, March 21, the Orchestra, under the direction of Music Director Louis Langrée, will premiere Nico Muhly's Pleasure Ground, a portrait work depicting the life of landscape architect Frederick Law Olmstead. On Saturday, March 22, Mr. Langrée and the CSO will premiere mountain, a new work by Pulitzer Prize winner David Lang depicting the life of American composer Aaron Copland.

The SXSW Tribute to Lou Reed is a multi-artist, official SXSW concert event that will feature a curated roster of talent drawn from official Festival participants and special guests brought in specifically for this presentation. The concert will highlight the diversity of young and legacy talent at SXSW as well as the rich diversity of Lou Reed's highly influential catalogue. Soul Boys of the Western World will be screened at 2:00pm on Wednesday, March 12th at 2:00pm at the Paramount Theatre (713 Congress Ave). Later that night Spandau Ballet will also stage their first performance in America in nearly three decades in Austin's legendary Vulcan Gas Company (The Vulcan).
