Working Theater presents the Off-Broadway production of The Best of TheaterWorks!: Stories from the 99%. The production will feature six of the best short plays to come out of Working Theater's TheaterWorks! program. The 10-year old program teaches working men and women (bus drivers, doormen, 911 operators, DMV workers etc.) to write and perform their own short plays about their experiences at work. The classes end with a stage reading style performance where the students are teamed with professional actors and directors. This production however will be fully realized by a professional cast and crew. (more...)

The Residency, a unique partnership between a major cross-cultural Jewish center and an innovative young arts venture, will provide space and significant resources to five teams of artists, including four days of study, three weeks of rehearsal, and six workshop presentations open to the public between today, June 23 and July 1. Arriving in AF Noble Subaru cars, in attendance with the filmmakers were EIFF guests including Jim Broadbent (Chair Michael Powell Jury), Elliott Gould (Chair International Jury), Edith Bowman (Juror), Kate Dickie (actor), Steven McCole (Actor), Paul McCole (Actor), Craig Hill (Comedian), Freya Mavor (actor), Brian Cox (Actor), Dylan Moran (Comedian) and Ian Rankin (Author). Lachey is best known for being in the hit-band 98 Degrees and winning the second season of Dancing with the Stars on ABC in 2006. Lachey is currently hosting The Price is Right Live at Bally's Las Vegas and was excited about the opportunity to see JERSEY BOYS while in town.
