JERSEY BOYS will take their moves from the stage to the runway in an interactive fashion show event to benefit HELP of Southern Nevada on Sunday, October 2 on the runway at Fashion Show. The event will consist of a clothing drive, fashion show, prize raffle and exclusive meet and greet with JERSEY BOYS cast members. Emceed by KLAS-TV news anchor Dayna Roselli, the event kicks off at 2:00 p.m. with a retro-inspired fashion show followed by the meet and greet with cast members. The afternoon with JERSEY BOYS will conclude at 4:00 p.m. with a raffle of exciting prizes. Clothing drive donations will be accepted beginning at noon. (more...)

Academy, Tony and four-time Emmy Award nominee Bob Balaban; acclaimed 'White Collar' television star Matt Bomer; Emmy Award-winning journalist Campbell Brown; celebrated playwright and gay rights activist Larry Kramer; two-time Academy Award-nominated, multiple Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning, two-time Tony Award-winning actor John Lithgow; Tony Award nominee and Broadway Impact Co-Founder Rory O'Malley; and Emmy Award winner and three-time Golden Globe Award nominee Bradley Whitford will appear in the world premiere of '8' on Broadway, joining the previously announced Anthony Edwards, Morgan Freeman, Cheyenne Jackson, Christine Lahti, Rob Reiner, Yeardley Smith and Marisa Tomei. The production is an unprecedented account of the Federal District Court trial in Perry v. Schwarzenegger (now Perry v. Jersey Boys, the Tony Award winning Broadway musical based on The Four Seasons, is already making a big splash here in Omaha. With press night being only the third night of performances in Omaha, I was more than a little surprised to find that some audience members were already seeing Jersey Boys for the second time in three days. Some were even talking about their plans to see it again for a third and fourth time in the following weeks. After having the opportunity to see the national touring production of Jersey Boys Friday night, it's clear to me why audiences are drawn to this show, time and time again. (more...)

Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) is proud to present the modern American masterpiece, AMERICAN BUFFALO, by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright, David Mamet. A hilarious, banter-fueled heist comedy and a heartbreaking portrait of criminal desperation, AMERICAN BUFFALO revolves around three men in a Chicago junk shop as they plan a heist of a rare coin collection. Directed by Peter Wray, AMERICAN BUFFALO runs from October 27 to November 20 every Thursday through Sunday on the MET stage. There will be one preview performance ($5 cash tickets at the door - no reservations) on Thursday, October 27 at 8pm. The Press Opening on Sunday (10/30) at 7pm will be preceded by a reception at 6pm catered by The Greene Turtle. Beginning with tonight's performance, Andy Karl and Quinn Van Antwerp have joined the Broadway cast of Jersey Boys. Karl (Legally Blonde, Wicked) steps in the role of Tommy DeVito; Dominic Nolfi departed on September 25th. Direct from the national tour of JERSEY BOYS, VanAntwerp steps in the role of Bob Gaudio; Ryan Jesse departed October 9.
