Now, Disney Theatrical Productions has confirmed that Aladdin, a new musical based on the Academy Award winning animated film, will play its pre-Broadway engagement at Toronto's Ed Mirvish Theatre(formerly the Canon) November 13, 2013 to January 12, 2014 and will open at Broadway's New Amsterdam Theatre in 2014. Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) announced today casting for its contemporary retelling of William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, staged by acclaimed British director Jonathan Munby in his Chicago debut, February 5-March 24, 2013 in CST's Courtyard Theater. The production features a celebrated company of artists that includes Jeff Award-winning Chicago actor David Darlow in the title role, Canada's Stratford Festival favorite Dion Johnstone as Marc Antony, New York stage and screen actor Jason Kolotouros as Caius Cassius and British actor John Light as Marcus Brutus. Exhibition Brings Art of the Ancient Near East to the Pacific Northwest

From Aug. 31 to Dec. 22, 2013, the Hallie Ford Museum of Art at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, will present "Breath of Heaven, Breath of Earth: Ancient Near Eastern Art from American Collections." This major exhibition will feature 64 ancient artworks that date from approximately 6000 BCE to 500 BCE and encompasses the geographic regions of Mesopotamia, Syria and the Levant, Anatolia and Iran.
