The Castillo Theatre is reviving the Fred Newman-Annie Roboff musical, Sally and Tom (The American Way) for a six-week run from February 17 through March 25. The musical is being directed by Gabrielle L. Kurlander, whose production Playing With Heiner Müller received a 2011 Vivian Robinson/AUDELCO Recognition Award For Excellence in Black Theatre for outstanding ensemble performance. Pearl Theatre Company Finds Home on 42nd Street

Continuing its reinvigoration, The Pearl Theatre Company has signed a 20-year lease on 555 West 42nd Street, the venue recently vacated by Signature Theatre Company, J.R. Sullivan, The Pearl's Artistic Director, announced today. The Pearl will inaugurate its permanent home with its 29th season, beginning this fall. Denham Wolf, a firm specializing in providing real estate services to cultural and other nonprofit organizations, served as The Pearl's broker and consultant in this transaction. (more...)

Signature Theatre Company Extends THE LADY FROM DUBUQUE Through 4/1

Signature Theatre Company has just announced a one-week extension for EDWARD ALBEE'S THE LADY FROM DUBUQUE, directed by David Esbjornson. The production will now play through Sunday, April 1 and is the inaugural production in The End Stage Theatre at the company's new home The Pershing Square Signature Center. The production will open on Monday, March 5. Tickets during the extension week are $75 each. Signature announced yesterday that Katori Hall's HURT VILLAGE has also been extended, and will now play in The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre through March 25. (more...)

Lily Rabe Leaves Cast of New Group's EARLY HISTORY OF FIRE
