Showcase of New Musicals Tour London and Beyond Starting in March

Following their sell-out debut in the autumn, this acclaimed revue of new musical theatre writing, featuring music from over twenty new musicals from around the world, is preparing to embark upon a UK Regional Tour. The A STAGE KINDLY new musical theatre initiative offers composers a chance to have their new musicals introduced to the London stage, and gives theatre enthusiasts a chance to experience future hit shows before anyone else.

Stanton and Jenkins to Star in Primary Stages' NY Premiere of 'Love Child'

Primary Stages (Casey Childs, Executive Producer; Andrew Leynse, Artistic Director; Elliot Fox, Managing Director), in association with Martin Hummel, present the New York premiere of the new comedy, Love Child, written and performed by Daniel Jenkins (Mary Poppins, Big River) and Robert Stanton (The Coast of Utopia, All in the Timing), as an added event of the 2008-2009 season. Under the direction of Carl Forsman, performances are set to begin Sunday evening, October 12, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. and will run in repertory with A Body of Water by Lee Blessing for a limited engagement through November 19, 2008. Opening night is October 26, 2008 at 7:00 p.m.

Jaradoa Theater presents Serenade, a new musical, beginning Saturday, December 1 through December 15 at Teatro La Tea (107 Suffolk Street, between Delancey & Rivington). The book and lyrics for Serenade are by Rachel Sheinkin, winner of the 2005 Tony Award for Best Book of a Musical for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. She also co-authored Off-Broadway's Striking 12, which recently launched a nationwide tour. The kinetic score for Serenade, composed by Nils Olaf Dolven, mixes electronica, pop and classical elements.

WGHT New Radio Show 'Curtain Call' Interviews Anika Larsen

WGHT Radio (1500AM), North Jersey's oldies station, has just launched 'Curtain Call,' a new program covering the NY & NJ theater scene. Morning host Teisha Bader will be interviewing stars of Broadway, Off-Broadway and local theaters (including Paper Mill) every Wednesday at 9:30AM. Up this week on November 21 is Anika Larsen, currently appearing in the Broadway hit Xanadu, and soon to star Off-Broadway in Serenade.
