An unprecedented benefit for theater-goers takes place this Sunday, March 8 at 9:00am when tickets to the new Broadway-bound musical HAMILTON go on sale at the box office window of Broadway's Marquis Theatre (Broadway and 46th Street), the next-door neighbor of the Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 W. 46 St.) where HAMILTON begins previews July 13 prior to opening August 6, it has been announced by Jeffrey Seller, producer.

Jonathan Groff Takes Over as 'King George' in HAMILTON Tonight

The Public Theater welcomes Tony Award nominee Jonathan Groff to the cast of HAMILTON as 'King George' tonight, March 3. Groff, who performed in The Public's recent revival of Hair as well as The Bacchae and The Singing Forest, is replacing Brian d'Arcy James, who will be starring in Something Rotten on Broadway this spring.

When the Public Theatre announced HAMILTON's third extension earlier this month, rumors fizzled that the show would in fact transfer to Broadway in time for the 2015 Tony Awards eligibility cut off. Just today, however, the Public announced a special event for tomorrow afternoon, at which the 'HAMILTON creative team, producers and company along with the Public Theater staff at a special gathering to celebrate this new musical.'
