Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre and the Great American Songbook Foundation have partnered to celebrate the artistry of an iconic musician. Indiana native Cole Porter's ANYTHING GOES opens Civic's 104th year of continuous operation, and 8th year at the Tarkington, on Friday, October 12, 2018.

REPRISE 2.0, led by Producing Artistic Director Marcia Seligson, in association with the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television Department of Theater (UCLA TFT) chaired by Brian Kite, announces Dawnn Lewis (This Is Us, Major Crimes and IZombie), Valerie Perri (LA Shubert Theatre Evita, Jerome Robbins' Broadway) Larry Cedar (Deadwood), Kelley Dorney (Annie at Hollywood Bowl) and Michael Starr (Bright Star national tour) for its production of The World Goes 'Round with music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb and conceived by Scott Ellis, Susan Stroman, and David Thompson. It will play September 5 through September 16 at UCLA's Freud Playhouse.

It will play September 5 through September 16 at UCLA's Freud Playhouse.  The World Goes 'Round will be directed by Richard Israel with choreography by John Todd, and musical direction by Gerald Sternbach.

From 2011 until this past year, Singer/ Songwriter/ and Musical theatre star, Sayonne, enthralled Off-Broadway and national audiences with her powerhouse vocals and energetic performances. With stellar turns in popular shows such as Dreamgirls as Deena Jones, Hairspray as Little Inez, Kiss Me, Kate, and Anything Goes her star has been steadily on the rise.

The Mac-Haydn Theatre (MHT), continues their 2017 season with a Cole Porter classic. Winner of the 1987 and 2011 Tony Awards for Best Revival of a Musical, Anything Goes returns to the MHT stage for the first time since 2010.

Stars of the West End Kate Graham (Billy Elliot, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Mamma Mia!) and Matt Corner (Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys), return home to the North East and join forces with, the self-proclaimed danciest swing band in the country, the Scottish Swing Orchestra and the BRASS Broadway Chorus to showcase swing versions of great Broadway songs from Anything Goes, Hairspray, Chicago, West Side Story and many more.

Bad Film Fest, created by Shawn Wickens and Starr Kendall, welcomes aspiring filmmakers to share their work in a fun, 'anything goes' environment. Their goal is to entertain the audience, and to champion the misfits, castoffs, and underdogs of cinema.

IN TRANSIT, Broadway's first a cappella musical, directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall (Anything Goes, Nice Work If You Can Get It), began preview performances on Thursday, November 10, 2016 and officially opens on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Circle in the Square Theatre (235 West 50th Street). As BroadwayWorld sadly reported yesterday, award-winning Broadway actor John McMartin has passed away at the age of 86. McMartin most recently appeared on Broadway in 2014's ALL THE WAY and the 2011 revival of ANYTHING GOES.

All aboard! Goodspeed Musicals kicks off its 2016 season at The Goodspeed with a star-packed production of the Broadway hit ANYTHING GOES. You'll get a kick out of this dance-filled musical comedy, running now through June 16 at The Goodspeed in East Haddam, Conn. Can YOU feel a brand new day? We're gearing up to ease on down the road with powerhouse newcomer Shanice Williams and the rest of the gang from Oz, when THE WIZ LIVE! premieres Thursday, December 3, at 8pm on NBC.  Of course, as was the case in 2013's THE SOUND OF MUSIC LIVE! and last year's PETER PAN LIVE!, the cast is certainly not short on big-name talent — and most come with Broadway or theatrical credits, no less. As if you didn't already know, be sure to look out for Queen Latifah (of 2002's CHICAGO and 2007's HAIRSPRAY), Elijah Kelley (also of 2007's HAIRSPRAY), Uzo Aduba (of CORAM BOY and 2011's GODSPELL), and David Alan Grier (2012's PORGY AND BESS).

Making their Chichester debuts as George and Maud are Richard Fleeshman (UrineTown, Ghost: The Musical, Legally Blonde) and the Olivier Award nominated Summer Strallen (Top Hat, Love Never Dies, The Sound of Music). The stellar cast also includes Desmond Barrit (The History Boys, Wicked and numerous RSC productions), Isla Blair (Made in Dagenham, The Lyons, Festival 2009'sCollaboration), Richard Dempsey (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Michael Grandage's A Midsummer Night's Dream), Nicholas Farrell (Festival 2011's South Downs / The Browning Version, 37 Days and Chariots of Fire) and Sally Ann Triplett (Follies!, Anything Goes, Guys and Dolls).

Beloved theatre standards, tap-dancing sailors, chorines in sequins, a farcically silly plot; what more could you want from a Cole Porter musical? After winning three Tony Awards in 2012, including Best Revival of a Musical, the National Tour of ANYTHING GOES ends its delightfully giddy run at Orlando's Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts this week, concluding on Sunday, May 31st. This non-Equity tour boasts Kathleen Marshall's direction and choreography, the latter of which earned her a third Tony. A joyful celebration of old-fashioned musical theatre, the delightful cast will leave you with a smile on your face, but this ANYTHING GOES lacks the sharpness and playfulness to make you fall out of your seat laughing and/or cheering, which most certainly can happen when this classic is at its best.

STAGES St. Louis has announced casting for its exhilarating 29th season: Smokey Joe's Cafe, Anything Goes, and The Full Monty. This season's exceptional talent voyages through songs and stories of diverse relationships, the bonds of friendship, and strength found in community. STAGES also announces the cast for its Theatre for Young Audiences production, the purrrrr-fect family classic, Disney's The Aristocats. All season and single tickets are on sale now.

In a little town known as New York City, on a tiny street known as Broadway, the Roundabout Theatre Company took the 1930's Cole Porter classic Anything Goes and revived it on the Great White Way. Starring Tony Winner (soon to be two time Tony Winner) Sutton Foster as Reno Sweeney, Broadway's sweetheart Laura Osnes in the role of Hope Harcourt, and the legendary Joel Grey as Moonface Martin. The show went on to win the 2011 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical, awarded Foster her second Tony, and also took home the prize for Best Choreography before closing in July 2012. Two years later, the award-winning revival hit the road in the U.S. national tour, surprisingly (coming from someone who saw the revival on Broadway) rivaling its New York counterpart.
