Oliver, Philip, and Sylvia are caught in a kind of erotic time warp. Their complex love triangle, replete with conflicting loyalties and passions, jumps from 1958 to the present and back in a maelstrom of fantasy, repression and rebellion in this innovative new drama. After taking London by storm last season in an Olivier Award-winning production at the Royal Court, The Pride now makes its American premiere in an all-new production at MCC Theater. Tony Award-winning director Joe Mantello (Glengarry Glen Ross, Take Me Out) directs this alternately tough and touching look at love and betrayal by Alexi Kaye Campbell (Apologia). Four of Britain's most acclaimed young actors, Hugh Dancy (Adam, Journey's End), Adam James (Last Chance Harvey), Andrea Riseborough (Happy-Go-Lucky) and Ben Whishaw (Bright Star, Brideshead Revisited) star.

The Theatre Department is holding community auditions for its fall mainstage production of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice for men's and women's roles aged 40 and older. Auditions will be held Tuesday, August 10th from 6:30-8:30 PM in Room 100 of the Cunningham Theatre Center.

Pride Films and Plays GREAT GAY SCREENPLAY CONTEST Closes

Pride Films and Plays, a new not-for-profit, is proud to announce its inaugural activities as an organization. The first two events scheduled are Five Decades of Great Gay Theater, May 9 - June 13, a series of staged reading of great gay plays, Theatre Building Chicago, 1225 West Belmont*, and the Great Gay Screenplay Contest, held in conjunction with Chicago Filmmakers. The contest seeks new screenplays dealing with gay history, characters or themes and relevant to the world. The semi-finalists will be read this fall during Reeling: The Chicago Lesbian and Gay International Film Festival.

The U.S. premiere of the epic original series based on the classic Ken Follett novel is set to begin on Starz for two hours on Friday, July 23 at 10:00 PM (ET/PT) and will continue airing Friday nights at 10:00 PM (ET/PT) for the remainder of the original series.

NBC announced today the premiere dates of its new Fall 2010-11 primetime schedule. Beginning the week of September 20, the premiere week schedule features the debuts of the network's highly anticipated new series - including 'The Event,' 'Chase,' 'Undercovers,' 'Law & Order: Los Angeles,' 'Outsourced,' 'Outlaw' and 'School Pride.' This schedule will be adjusted to accommodate specials and holiday programming.

The Vancouver premiere of Disney's THE LION KING opens tonight, Thursday, July 15 at 7:30pm at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre for a limited engagement of four weeks through Sunday, August 8. In Vancouver, THE LION KING plays Tuesday through Saturday evenings at 7:30pm, Sunday evening 6:30pm, Saturday matinees at 2pm, Sunday matinees at 1pm with an additional matinee performance on Wednesday, August 4 at 2pm. There will be no 6:30pm performance on Sunday, August 8.

Disney Theatrical Productions and DPAC announced today that tickets for the long-awaited production of Disney's THE LION KING will go on sale to the public at the DPAC Ticket Center on Saturday, October 2nd at 8am. The Triangle's most eagerly awaited stage production will begin performances at DPAC on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 for a limited engagement of 4 weeks through Sunday, January 30, 2011.
