Three-time Tony Award-winning scenic designer ROBIN WAGNER and esteemed costume designer LEWIS BROWN are among the 2011 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards recipients. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, April 8 at 6:30pm at the Hudson Theatre (145 West 44th Street). Mr. Brown was selected to receive the 2011 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design, and Tony Award-winning scenic designer Robin Wagner will receive the Robert L.B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design. Sadly, Mr. Brown passed away in January of 2011. His award will be accepted by his long-time colleague and friend, Albert Wolsky, who was the recipient of the 2010 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award

During these times of international unrest, tragic natural disaster, and global unease, the topic of "sanctuary," defined as a "sacred, holy place or a place of refuge' becomes more and more relevant.

Karole Armitage's contemporary ballet company, Armitage Gone! Dance, has announced the official programming for the company's return to The Joyce Theater, taking place April 26-May 8, 2011.

An exciting selection of established and emerging poets and composers have been commissioned by the New York City based new music ensemble Lunatics at Large (www.lunaticsensemble.com) to write works on the theme of 'sanctuary,' which is a 'sacred, holy place or a place of refuge.'

Ordway Center for the Performing Arts today unveiled its 2011-2012 performance season. Rochelle Slovin, Director of Museum of the Moving Image, today announced further details of the events and programs that will celebrate the grand re-opening of America's only museum dedicated to film, TV and digital media in all their forms. Transformed through a $67 million project, the Museum will open to the public on January 15, 2011, having doubled in size (from 50,000 to 97,700 square feet) and been given striking new physical expression by architect Thomas Leeser.

Following four seasons of sold-out concerts, KEYS TO THE FUTURE celebrates its fifth anniversary at a brand new venue and with an even deeper mix of styles and talent.
