THE ACTIVE THEATER in association with BUD MARTIN will present Any Given Monday by Bruce Graham on Monday, April 4, 2011 at New World Stages, 2:00pm, in Stage 5. Bud Martin will direct the private reading of the play which was first seen in a co-production between ACT II PLAYHOUSE, Ambler, PA and THEATRE EXILE, Philadelphia, PA. Any Given Monday was the recipient of the 2010 Barrymore Award for Best New Play.

JERUSALEM, the critically acclaimed and multi-award winning play by Jez Butterworth and starring Tony and Olivier Award-winner Mark Rylance (Boeing-Boeing, La Bête), begins previews tomorrow night, April 2, at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street). The production, directed by Ian Rickson, opens Thursday, April 21 and will play a limited 16-week engagement.

Following the opening of Terence Rattigan's Flare Path, the Theatre Royal Haymarket Company today (1 April 2011) announce a further two productions to be directed by Trevor Nunn in his role as Artistic Director. After a three week run at the Chichester Festival Theatre, Nunn's production of Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead comes to the Theatre Royal Haymarket in June, followed in September by William Shakespeare's The Tempest. Further productions in the season will be announced shortly.

Tony and Olivier Award winning star Mark Rylance (La Bête, Boeing-Boeing) will recreate his wildly acclaimed, multi award-winning performance as Johnny ‘Rooster' Byron on Broadway in the Royal Court Theatre production of Jez Butterworth's universally heralded new play, JERUSALEM. The production, directed by Ian Rickson, will also star Mackenzie Crook (The Seagull, 'The Office') as Ginger and most of the original Royal Court cast, with full casting to be announced at a later date. Jenen announced today that acclaimed actresses Marin Ireland (Tony nominee for reasons to be pretty) and Juliet Rylance (Obie winner for The Bridge Project's As You Like It) have joined the cast of the company's highly-anticipated upcoming production of Anton Chekhov's THREE SISTERS. Ireland will play Natasha and Rylance Irina, joining 2010 Academy Award nominee Maggie Gyllenhaal (Masha), Josh Hamilton (Andrey), 2010 Tony Award nominee Jessica Hecht (Olga) and acclaimed film and stage actor Peter Sarsgaard (Vershinin).
