The New York Musical Theatre Festival is pleased to announce the 18 new musicals selected for this year's Next Link Project, to be presented as part of the third-annual New York Musical Theatre Festival, September 10 through October 1, 2006.

Gavin Creel, Karen Mason and Kenita R. Miller have joined the cast of the sold-out Become concert on May 14th; in addition, a new performance was announced for the summer (dates TBA)

Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schoenberg's THE PIRATE QUEEN, the spectacular new musical from the authors of Les Miserables and Miss Saigon, will play a pre-Broadway, World Premiere engagement in Chicago from October 3rd through November 26th, 2006.

Laura Benanti, Cheyenne Jackson, Celia Keenan-Bolger and Megan Hilty will be among the stars featured in Become, a May 14th showcase of music by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul that will be presented for two performances at Joe's Pub

Comic, former child star, outspoken activist, and 2006 TV Land Award winner Alison Arngrim--who played the badly-behaved Nellie Oleson on 'Little House on the Prairie' for seven years--will return to New York with Confessions of a Prairie Bitch on May 12 and 13 at The Cutting Room

On Sunday, May 14th, Become, a one-night-only showcase of music by up-and-coming writers Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, will be presented. The Joe's Pub concert, originally scheduled only for 7:30 PM, sold out in just three days of ticket sales; a second performance has been added for later that evening at 9:30PM

Mill Mountain Theatre is pleased to welcome to the stage a musical version of a Dickens' classic. Edwin Wilson (book and lyrics) and Doug Katsaros (music) have adapted GREAT EXPECTATIONS to create a new musical which will premiere on Mill Mountain Theatre's Trinkle Main Stage on February 22 and continue until March 12, 2006.

The award-winning blues artist performs at Mohegan Sun's Wolf Den on January 22, 2006 at 7:00 p.m.

The production will star Josh Strickland as Tarzan, Jenn Gambatese as Jane, Merle Dandridge as Kala, Shuler Hensley as Kerchak, Chester Gregory II as Terk, Timothy Jerome as Professor Porter and Donnie Keshawarz as Clayton. Daniel Manche and Alex Rutherford will alternate in the role of Young Tarzan.

Tony Award winner John Lithgow ('Dirty Rotten Scoundrels') celebrates the launch of Kids' Night on Broadway: 10th Birthday Edition with young cast members from Broadway's The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and representatives from The League of American Theatres and Producers Inc.

Disney has announced that Tarzan will being previews on March 24, to open on May 10, 2006.
