After reigning since 2006 as the most critically acclaimed, award-winning supper club of its kind in the greater Los Angeles area, Sterling's Upstairs at Vitello's will close its doors in Studio City, CA on Sunday, March 18 following its final show headlined by Reba Buhr, co-star of Disney's Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA. Miss Buhr is also a host for the Disney Channel's popular 365 television series. The announcement became official by producer Michael Sterling.

Bob Boyett has announced the full Broadway cast for the National Theatre of Great Britain's acclaimed production of ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS. Previews begin on April 6 and the official opening is April 18, 2012 at the Music Box Theatre on Broadway.

Classic Stage Company has announced complete casting for their upcoming production of Shakespeare's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, which begins previews at CSC on Wednesday, April 4 for a limited engagement through Sunday, May 20. Joining two-time Tony Award winner Bebe Neuwirth (Hippolyta/Titania) and acclaimed film/television/stage star Christina Ricci (Hermia) in the cast are Jordan Dean (Demetrius), Nick Gehlfuss (Lysander), David Greenspan (Flute/Fairy), Halley Wegryn Gross (Helena), Anthony Heald (Theseus/Oberon), Erin Hill (Starveling/Fairy), Chad Lindsey (Snout/Fairy), Taylor Mac (Egeus/Puck), James Patrick Nelson (Snug/Fairy), Steven Skybell (Bottom) and Rob Yang (Quince/Fairy). Directed by Tony Speciale (Unnatural Acts), A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM has its official opening Sunday, April 29.

Broadway, next door to its current venue. With the acquisition of the former National Pastime space, Profiles now operates 3 theatres in total, including its long-time home at 4147 N. Broadway, as well as The Second Stage at 3408 N. Sheffield. In a Forest, Dark and Deep, directed by Joe Jahraus and featuring Co-Artistic Director Darrell W. Cox, runs April 13, 2012 - June 3, 2012 with the press opening on Thursday, April 19 at 8:00pm. The previously announced production of Neil LaBute's The Break of Noon will be postponed until next season.

The Marriott Theatre in far north suburban Lincolnshire has long been a testing ground-- for newly-written musicals, or for musicals never before produced in the round. (When you have that many subscribers, you can take a few highly visible risks.) Now, through August 14, 2011, the theatre is trying to breathe new life into the 2006 off-Broadway musical "Shout!," which you may remember didn't fare so well in a commercial run at the Drury Lane Theatre, Water Tower Place, in the summer of 2008. Award-winning director-choreographer Rachel Rockwell and music director and Northwestern University staff member Ryan T. Nelson have grappled with the jukebox songs originally assembled by others, and they use the Marriott's top-notch team of singers, dancers, arrangers and designers to very nearly come up with a winning 90-minute, intermissionless theatrical diversion. Very nearly.

Tonight's edition of 'Theater Talk' will feature JERUSALEM's Tony-nominated star Mark Rylance and Tony-nominated playwright Jez Butterworth. Broadway's Leslie Kritzer returned to Joe's Pub in her all-new extravaganza Beautiful Disaster for three performances: May 1, 2 and 3. The all-new show co-written by Randy Blair (Fat Camp, Perez Hilton Saves the Universe, Spidermusical) and Kritzer featured a 4-piece band led by music director/pianist Vadim Feichtner (Spelling Bee, Elegies), and the music of Madonna, Guns n Roses, Alanis Morrisette, Katy Perry, Jane's Addiction, Snoop Dogg, Tori Amos, and Stephen Sondheim. The 'Sas' is back. Rachelle Rak (better known to the Broadway community as 'Sas'), has had a career as a Broadway dancer to be envied. After a successful run of Amiel Gladstone's Hippies and Bolsheviks in 2009, Girl Got Lost Productions and director Chelsea McIsaac are excited to present an exuberant interpretation of one of the earlier plays written by North America's most prolific playwright, Sam Shepard, with his girlfriend at the time, high priestess of poetry/punk/rock, Patti Smith.
