The Broadway musical SISTER ACT will play its final Broadway performance today, Sunday, August 26, 2012, prior to kicking off a North American tour on October 2 at Toronto's Ed Mirvish Theatre. Roundabout Theatre Company has just announced that Tony® Award winner Douglas Hodge will star in a new Broadway production of Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand, with a translation by Ranjit Bolt and directed by Jamie Lloyd.
Cyrano de Bergerac will begin previews on September 14, 2012 and open officially on October 11, 2012 at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42nd Street). This will be a limited engagement through November 25, 2012. The full cast & design team will be announced soon.

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director and Casey Reitz, Executive Director) has been chosen as one of the 40 finalists in this year's Partners in Preservation program, which awards up to $250,000 to the cultural institutions that receive the most votes from its supporters. If selected, Second Stage Theatre will use the grant money to restore the facade of the company's future home, the 100-year old Helen Hayes Theatre on Broadway. The finalists were presented by celebrity guest Katharine McPhee of NBC's hit "Smash" at The Metropolitan Museum of Art on Thursday, April 26. Second Stage at the Helen Hayes Theatre is the only Broadway theatre selected as a finalist.

Eve Best last appeared at The Old Vic in London and on Broadway opposite Kevin Spacey in A Moon for the Misbegotten in the 2006/2007 Season. The Duchess of Malfi will open at The Old Vic on 28 March 2012, previewing from 17 March.
