Nine theater artists will be honored by the Henry Hewes Design Awards Committee during the presentation of its 46th Annual Awards in a luncheon ceremony this fall. Eighty-one theater artists were nominated for outstanding artistry in 46 productions presented during the 2009-2010 New York theater season. Following a developmental workshop at the Vineyard in the fall of 2009 and a series of concert readings this summer by New York Stage and Film Company and the Powerhouse Program at Vassar, the musical ON A CLEAR DAY YOU CAN SEE FOREVER - with lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner, music by Burton Lane, a new book by Peter Parnell based on the original book by Alan Jay Lerner, and reconceived and directed by Michael Mayer - will receive a full production at the Vineyard Theatre (108 East 15th Street) with performances beginning January 2011, it has been announced by Vineyard Theatre Artistic Director Douglas Aibel.

Presented in New York for the very first time since its original production (the play was commissioned for the new Lincoln Center Theatre Company, directed by Harold Clurman and starring Joseph Wiseman, David Wayne and Hal Holbrook), performances of Incident at Vichy begin Sunday, March 8th, 2009. Opening night is Monday, March 16th at 7:30 pm. Performances will continue through Sunday, April 11th.
