The Friend Center at the The Jewish Community Center of San Francisco (JCCSF) today announced details of its comprehensive Performing Arts programming for 2008/09. Pangs Theater Ensemble announces that, from July 18 through August 2, 2008, Intersection for the Arts will host the Lorca Summer Festival, consisting of Federico Garcia Lorca's 'rural trilogy' of plays, Blood Wedding, Yerma, and House of Bernarda Alba, which Pangs Theater Ensemble will perform in a series. The plays will be directed by Wolfgang Thompson, Pangs Theater Ensemble's Artistic Director, recognized for his modern multi-disciplinary pieces and his physical style of direction.

Kathleen Chalfant, one of the theater's most celebrated actors, will star in the World Premiere of Alexander Dinelaris' searing new play, 'Red Dog Howls' at the El Portal Theatre for a strictly limited five week engagement from May 14 to June 13.
