Today Frontier Theatre Productions announces the full cast for its first production of Marguerite Duras' The Lovers of Viorne in a translation by Barbara Bray, opening on 4 May, with a preview on 3 May, and running until 21 May.  James Roose-Evans directs Charlotte Cornwell (Claire), Kevin Trainor (Interrogator) and Martin Turner (Pierre Lannes).

Frontier Theatre Productions' Artistic Director James Roose-Evans today announces the company's first show - a production of Marguerite Duras's The Lovers Of Viorne which runs from 3 - 21 May at The Theatre Room, Frontier's new 55 seat chamber theatre in their headquarters at 6 Frederick's Place.  Roose-Evans directs Charlotte Cornwell as Claire with full casting to be announced shortly.

Directed and choreographed by Todd Nielsen, with musical direction by Gerald Sternbach, and starring ICT favorites Kevin Bailey (Abigail/1702),Valerie Perri (The Sweepers), Adam von Almen (The Heir Apparent) and newcomer Katheryne Penny, Closer Than Ever opens February 12at ICT's home in the Long Beach Performing Arts Center. As BroadwayWorld reported this morning, Bette Midler will indeed return to Broadway in one of the most cherished shows in musical theater history when she takes on the role of Dolly Gallagher Levi in Michael Stewart's (book) and Jerry Herman's (music and lyrics) masterpiece, Hello, Dolly!. Directed by four-time Tony Award® winner Jerry Zaks, Hello, Dolly! will begin performances on Broadway on March 13, 2017, with an official opening night of April 20, 2017. Rehearsals begin one year from today. This new production of Hello, Dolly!, the first new production of this classic musical to appear on Broadway since it opened more than fifty years ago, will have at its helm Jerry Zaks as its director, and will feature choreography by Tony Award-winner Warren Carlyle. The new Dolly! will pay tribute to the original work of legendary director/choreographer Gower Champion, which has been hailed both then and now as one of the greatest stagings in musical theater history. Pear Theatre to Open THE MOUNTAINTOP in January

Pear Theatre continues its 2015/2016 season with the two-person, Olivier Award-winning play from Katori Hall, THE MOUNTAINTOP. Deeply moving, THE MOUNTAINTOP creatively imagines the last night in the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, set in Memphis in April, 1968. King meets the attractive, spunky motel maid Camae, who arrives to provide room service - but we soon discover she is no ordinary chambermaid. The production features Michael Wayne Rice as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and Nathalie Autumn Bennett as Camae. Preview night is January 14th; Press and Opening Night is January 15th, with a champagne gala following the show. The run continues through January 31. 'All Gone West,' a new play by John Attanas, transports us to the New York jazz scene of the early 50's. An Army vet, in love with a secretary at CCNY, would win her by setting up a be-bop club on Ninth Avenue with the help of a black saxophonist he has befriended in the service and a couple of low-lives he has met along the way. The couple's story is one of dreams dashed and fulfilled; love denied and embraced. The play features a cast of six plus a live, four-piece jazz ensemble. Jonathan Fluck, former Executive Director of IRT Theatre, will produce and direct the play's world premiere run March 28 to April 18, 2015 at Teatro Circulo, 64 East 4th Street (East Village).
