Lincoln Center Theater presents Richard Greenberg's new play THE BABYLON LINE this fall in the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65th Street). The production, directed by Terry Kinney, features Maddie Corman, Randy Graff, Julie Halston, Michael Oberholtzer, Josh Radnor, Elizabeth Reaser, and Frank Wood, and begins performances tonight, November 10. A true “PNB baby,” Ms. Anspach literally grew up dancing at PNB over 26 years, first in classes at PNB School and then with the Company. She took her first PNB School Creative Movement dance class at the age of five in 1990, joined the company as an apprentice in 2004 and was promoted to corps de ballet in 2005.

Osserman is a bright, youthful 74-year-old, reflecting on a life that exemplifies her peerless character as a fixture of downtown New York dance since the late '60s. Her light-hearted, joyful voice touched on themes ranging from her first memories dancing as a child in front of the mirror, to producing a dance festival on the Greek island of Paros while considering the current crisis of human movement in Greece. The Wendy Osserman Dance Company will perform two world premieres at the Theater for the New City from April 20-23, featuring her new solo work, 'Timed' alongside her classic, 'Udjat' inspired by ancient Egyptian motifs. With a comfortable modesty, she speaks to overcoming the challenges of being a woman in the dance world and of the irresistibility of her continuing aspirations as the leader of a company signature that she has fostered for the last four decades.

'The New World Symphony: Dvorak in America' is a puppet and object theater work examining the influence of African-American and Native American music upon the great 19th-century Czech composer Antonin Dvorak (1841-1904). The piece is written and directed by Vit Horejš and performed by Czechoslovak American Marionette Theatre. It traces how Dvorak helped America accept its beautiful multicultural musical traditions by his enthusiasm for African-American and Native American music during his short but influential time in the USA. La MaMa Theatre will present the play's world premiere run March 10 to 27, 2016 in its Ellen Stewart Theatre, 66 East 4th Street (East Village). Composer and Musical Director is saxophonist James Brandon Lewis.
