The Seattle Art Fair, presented by AIG, is pleased to announce an additional installation by legendary conceptual artist Chris Burden has been added to this year's on-site programming. Presented by Gagosian, Burden's 1983 work Scale Model of the Solar System invites fairgoers and the local Seattle community on a fun, artistic scavenger hunt around the city. The artwork will be on view during the fair's run from August 2-5 at CenturyLink Field and beyond.
Netflix has optioned the rights to The New York Times bestseller Shoe Dog, written by Phil Knight. Five-time Academy Award nominated producer Frank Marshall will produce the film alongside Knight. Golden Globe and Emmy Award winners Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski (Dolemite Is My Name!, Ed Wood, The People vs. Larry Flynt, The People v. O.J. This Sunday, April 22nd, will mark the cinematic release of the 2017 Stratford Festival production of TIMON OF ATHENS - One of Shakespeare's later plays, for which productions are not nearly as common as some of Shakespeare's other stories. Directed for the stage by Stephen Ouimette, and directed for the screen by Barry Avrich, TIMON OF ATHENS is a story of a man who gives generously but does not pay close enough attention to his own debt. When the collectors come calling, Timon's friends do not show up for him like he did for them. This betrayal drastically changes his worldview and sends him into a tragic, reclusive life. Joseph Ziegler, who portrayed Timon in the production, was kind enough to chat with Broadway World about bringing this play to the big screen.

Two of the most iconic Latin pop-rock groups from the 80's and 90's, Enanitos Verdes and Hombres G, announced today they will bring their “Huevos Revueltos” Tour to the United States this June. The 14-date tour, produced by Live Nation and Frías Entertainment, will kick off June 1 in Las Vegas, NV and include a run of theaters and arenas across the country. The groups will perform at famous venues across the U.S. including the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA on June 2, The Masonic in San Francisco, CA on June 3, State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, TX on June 14 and Eagle Bank Arena in Fairfax, VA on June 21. The tour will wrap at the legendary Radio City Music Hall in New York, NY on June 23.

The Snowy Day and Other Stories by Ezra Jack Keats has announced the cast for its NYC premiere Off-Broadway at St. Luke's Theatre this January 13, 2018.
January 13, 2018, with an added performance on MLK Day, January 15th. Adapted for the stage by Jerome Hairston, with music by Victor Zupanc, the show is inspired by four of Keats' most beloved stories, including the 1963 Caldecott Award-winning The Snowy Day. The show celebrates the wonder of childhood in the city - from making tracks in the freshly fallen snow, to learning how to whistle, to imagining new worlds with a best friend who lives across the hall - these small moments of delight and joy are captured beautifully. Incorporating shadow puppets, songs, mime and humor, the 45 minute show for children will appeal to all ages.
