Spanning numerous musical traditions, genres, and disciplines, the Festival will offer 23 performances, films, and events featuring seven premieres and debuts by artists and companies from more than a dozen countries, including France, India, the Netherlands, Spain, Germany, the U.K., Mali, Estonia, Italy, Austria, Canada and the U.S. New to this edition of the Festival is White Light on Film, film screenings followed by discussions with their directors. Other Festival components include: a panel discussion focused on the subject of time, pre- and post-performance artist discussions, and the popular post-performance White Light Lounges.

Philadelphia Young Playwrights has kicked off its 25th anniversary celebration by announcing the launch of the Paula Vogel Mentors Project, a living award honoring the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright and teacher and extending her mentorship legacy. This 'open studio' of work reflects two months of work by contemporary Cambodian and Cambodian-American artists in the disciplines of sculpture, photography, video, installation, and performance, curated by curator-in-residence Vuth Lyno and the final piece of the festival's visual arts program, IN RESIDENCE, co-curated by Leeza Ahmady of AhmadyArts and Asian Contemporary Art Week (New York City) and Erin Gleeson ofSA SA BASSAC (Phnom Penh). The three-day event, in conjunction with the annual opening of Governors Island on Memorial Day Weekend, takes place at the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council's Art Center (Building 110) on May 25th - 27th from 12pm - 5pm daily.
