F*CKFEST Comes to the Brick This Summer

For those of you for whom these questions haunt you daily, The Brick is pleased to announce the first ever F*ckfest, taking place during June 2015 in Brooklyn, New York!  F*ckfest, quite simply, is a festival about sex. Wednesday, April 29 is International Dance Day and to celebrate, Canadian dance icon Peggy Baker presents figures in motion - part lecture, part slide show - free for the public at the Betty Oliphant Theatre at 7:15pm. figures in motion is presented just prior to a performance of her first-ever full evening ensemble work, locus plot, which runs April 24-May 3 at the same location. In honour of International Dance Day, the April 29 performance of locus plot will be pay-what-you-can at the door.

The Off-Broadway League has announced details for the 2015 Lucille Lortel Awards, which will celebrate 30 years of recognizing Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway. The 30th Annual Lucille Lortel Awards will be handed out on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at the NYU Skirball Center, beginning at 7:00 PM EST. The program will be co-hosted by Emmy Award Nominees Jesse Tyler Ferguson ("Modern Family") and Anna Chlumsky ("Veep," Broadway's upcoming "Living on Love").

The Old Globe is delighted to welcome one of the true geniuses of the American theatre, Tony Award winner Mary Zimmerman, who makes her long-awaited San Diego directing debut with an enchanting theatrical spectacle with live music and sumptuous visuals, The White Snake, continuing the Globe's 80th Anniversary festivities as part of the Balboa Park Centennial Celebration. The Southern California Premiere of The White Snake, written and directed by Zimmerman, will run March 21 through April 26 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run March 21 through 25. Opening night is Thursday, March 26 at 8:00 p.m.

It seems to be noon tomorrow as the girls give up on the whole 'standing' thing and just sprawl out on the floor in their cocktail dresses. Kimberly, a yoga instructor from Long Island who Farmer Chris did NOT give a rose to, re-enters THE BACHELOR compound and begs Chris for another chance. She is convinced that he did not keep her because she didn't actually get to physically talk to him that evening. Yes, Kimberly, in order to advance on The Bachelor, you must make human contact with The Bachelor. Got it now? Great. You may stay.

Stage and Screen Stars Mourn the Loss of Robin Williams on Twitter

As BWW reported earlier this evening, comedian and Academy Award-winning actor Robin Williams died this morning, August 11, 2014, of an apparent suicide. He was 63. A slew of stars took to Twitter following the announcement to express their gratitude to the performer and wish him well.
