Here Lies Love, the smash hit off-Broadway musical at The Public Theater has announced that rush tickets are available for all performances. A limited number of $40 day-of-performance rush tickets will be available at The Public's Box Office (425 Lafayette Street, NYC) one hour before every performance. The Fall performance schedule is as follows: Mondays and Tuesdays at 7 pm, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8 pm, Fridays at 7 pm and 10:30 (the Late Night Disco!) and Saturdays at 5 pm and 9:30 pm. Hillbarn Theatre, the Peninsula's premier community theatre company, follows up on the success of their critically acclaimed 2014-15 season opener Funny Girl with one of Broadway's most entertaining shows, The 39 Steps. Equal parts Hitchcock masterpiece and thrilling spy novel, The 39 Steps is a high-speed comedy smash hit that follows Patrick Barlow and John Buchan's iconic hero Richard Hannay as he finds himself embroiled in a riotous chase dodging police and charming ladies across England and Scotland. Winner of two Tony Awards and the Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Comedy, The 39 Steps blends virtuoso performances with wildly inventive stagecraft amounting to an unforgettable evening in the theatre. The 39 Steps will run October 16 - November 2, 2014 at Hillbarn Theatre (1285 East Hillsdale Blvd., Foster City). Performances are Thursdays-Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Press night for The 39 Steps will be held on Friday, October 17, 2014. Nathan's Famous and KaBOOM! brought a piece of Coney Island to the students of Washington Elementary School and surrounding community this week. The world famous hot dog company and the national non-profit dedicated to giving kids the play they need to thrive honored the school by bringing their Ready. Set. PLAY. program to the Harvey, Ill., area. With the program, which was created earlier this year, Nathan's Famous and KaBOOM! have been able to celebrate active play and honor the "playmakers" who are making play possible in communities around the country. NASA will host a televised media briefing at 1 p.m. EDT, Wednesday, Sept. 17, to outline activities around the Sunday, Sept. 21 orbital insertion at Mars of the agency's Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution (MAVEN) spacecraft. This past year, a brand-new organization called The Kilroys solicited nominations from over 140 theatre professionals (primarily artistic directors and literary managers) for their favorite new plays by female-identified playwrights. In June they published The List -- the top 46 of these plays. Dry Land was one of the most recommended, and many playwrights Colt Coeur has collaborated with in the past were also on the list.
