A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company, presents Arthur Miller's classic All My Sons, as part of the 2015-2016 BREAKING AND ENTERING season, directed by Geoff Elliott, beginning October 11 and playing through November 21, 2015 (opens on October 17). Miller was born on October 17, 1915 (this production opens on the actual day and date of the centennial of Miller's birth). (more...)

2015 Adult Elly Award Winners Announced - IN THE HEIGHTS Wins Big!

Sacramento, CA -This year the 33rd annual Elly Awards - Adult Division were announced at the candy-decorated Elks Lodge No. 6 in Sacramento on Sunday night. Named for Eleanor McClatchy, a devoted patron of the arts and former publisher of the Sacramento Bee, the Elly Awards celebrates excellence in Sacramento's local and regional community theater. A grand total of 34 Elly Awards, plus two lifetime achievement awards, were given to individuals and theaters from across a 10-county region in the Adult Division which includes Comedy, Drama, Musicals and Original Works. Sponsored by the Sacramento Area Regional Theatre Alliance (SARTA), this formal event was attended by nearly 300 active community theatre members and their families and friends.  (more...)

Tickets on Sale for SU Drama's 2015-16 Season, Kicking Off with KISS ME, KATE

SU Drama's 2015/16 season features six productions, including three musicals, starting in October with the Cole Porter classic Kiss Me, Kate. Second in the season is Agamemnon, the haunting Greek classic, followed by a co-production with Syracuse Stage, Peter Pan. After winter break, the season continues with Punk Rock and the country-flavored musical The Spitfire Grill. Closing the season in May is the comedy A Flea in Her Ear. (more...)

In 1924, Noel Coward was so captivated by the outlandish lifestyle and eccentric personality of Laurette Taylor that he was inspired to write his play HAY FEVER in just three days. The play focuses on the antics of four members of the Bliss family in their country home during a weekend with guests. Today, producer Mark Goucher has confirmed that following the phenomenal success of the current UK tour, the new production of Hairspray will return at the end of summer 2017 to once again tour the UK.
