CMT Announces Fall Programming; New Episodes of 'Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader' & More

CMT will add new specials, films and all-new seasons of hit shows ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5TH GRADER, DCC: MAKING THE TEAM and WORLD'S STRICTEST PARENTS to its programming schedule this fall. Beginning Monday, September 20 at 6:30 p.m., ET/PT, ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5TH GRADER will kick-off new episodes with a special country music-themed week featuring country stars Joe Nichols, Josh Turner, Laura Bell Bundy, Trailer Choir and Craig Morgan. Hosted by Jeff Foxworthy, contestants will tackle subjects ranging from geography to social studies in each half-hour episode.

In the year 2000, the face of Sean Martin Hingston became quite familiar to New Yorkers; not just theatergoers, but the average Joes and Janes who traversed the city via public transportation. Susan Stroman's innovative CONTACT was playing at Lincoln Center and its ads were blazoned on every bus, taxi, and subway billboard. The artwork featured the ravishing Deborah Yates as 'The Girl In The Yellow Dress being pursued by the forlorn-looking Boyd Gaines. Looking on was the menacing presence of Sean Martin Hingston. The image remains in the memories of almost everyone who saw it.

TBS Films Three Specials At Chicago's 'Just For Laughs' Festival

Grammy(R)-winning trio Lady Antebellum and a special guest appearance by Jerry Seinfeld are two of the latest additions to the lineup of specials being taped for TBS at the second-annual edition of TBS PRESENTS A 'VERY FUNNY' FESTIVAL: JUST FOR LAUGHS this June in Chicago. Three specials - Ellen's Somewhat Special Special, Cedric The Entertainer's Urban Circus and Team Coco presents Conan's Writers Live hosted by Andy Richter - are set to be taped at the Festival for premiere on TBS. A fourth special for TBS, How to Build the Perfect Grown Up, is slated to be screened at the Festival prior to its on-air premiere. TBS and Just For Laughs' Festival in Chicago takes place Tuesday, June 14 - Saturday, June 19, with all four specials slated to premiere on TBS the following week.

PS Classics, the label dedicated to the heritage of Broadway and American popular song, will record the original Broadway cast album of SONDHEIM ON SONDHEIM on June 6th and 7th. The production, presented by Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director), began performances at Studio 54 on March 19th, opened officially on April 22nd and recently announced a two-week extension through June 27th.

Hennepin Theatre Trust, established in 2000 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was created to assume responsibility for and guarantee the future of the State, Orpheum and Pantages Theatres which line Hennepin Avenue in downtown Minneapolis. In 2005, the Trust executed a long term financing arrangement with the City of Minneapolis to transition ownership of these three theatres from the City to the Trust.
