The American Theatre Wing has announced new appointments to its Board of Trustees and Advisory Committee.

Cape Rep Theatre presents Summer Starlight, an evening to remember, Sunday, August 6, with guest of honor, Tony Award winning theatre, film and television actor, Michael Cerveris. Tickets for this gala celebration benefiting Cape Rep Theatre include an outdoor party with hors d'oeuvres and live jazz, a performance and audience discussion with Mr. Cerveris in the Indoor Theater emceed by filmmaker Amber Edwards, and a champagne and dessert finale with Michael Cerveris under the stars.  Sunday, August 6, 6 PM. Opera Saratoga presents a new production of Marc Blitzstein's The Cradle Will Rock, directed and choreographed by Lawrence Edelson, and conducted by noted Maestro John Mauceri (company debut), who has been responsible for many significant operatic restorations, including Blitzstein's Regina.

Hartford Opera Theater is pleased to present THE TENDER LAND with music by Aaron Copland, libretto by Horace Everett, as its main stage production. Chairman Philippe de Montebello announces the election of Andres A. Gil and Antonio del Valle Ruiz to the Board of Trustees of the Hispanic Society Museum & Library. Matthew VanBesien, President of the NY Philharmonic, has announced that he will step down this spring. Its music director, Alan Gilbert, is also stepping down at the end of this season. Dutch maestro Jaap van Zweden, will become the new music director next season, replacing Gilbert.
