Black Ensemble Theater Announces an Open Run for ALL IN LOVE IS FAIR

The Black Ensemble Theater World Premiere of 'All In Love Is Fair' opened this past March to rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. This unique take on traditional love stories, is produced and directed by Black Ensemble Theater Founder and Executive Director Jackie Taylor and choreographed by Rueben Echoles. 'All In Love Is Fair' features an incredible ensemble cast as well as music from renowned artists such as Luther Vandross, Brook Benton, James Ingram, Gladys Knight and Roberta Flack. The show kicked off the 2011 Season at the Black Ensemble Theater, 4520 N. Beacon Street, and is now on an open run.

ANNA: LOVE IN THE COLD WAR Begins at the Dorothy Strelsin Theatre, 4/22

Two lost souls share an intimate moment, each learning to love and dream again, in playwright Nancy P. Moss's intimate historical drama Anna: Love in the Cold War. The play takes place during a bitter winter night in 1945 Leningrad, where oppression and suspicion are commonplace and one never knows who may be listening. Directed by Joshua A. Kashinsky, Anna: Love in the Cold War will begin performances on April 22nd at the Dorothy Strelsin Theatre, located at 312 West 36th Street.

Oxygen's LOVE GAMES Earns Network High Ratings

Oxygen Media announced that it scored its best Monday night performance in prime time in its history. Additionally, the channel was the #1 cable network in the 9PM hour among W18-34. Fueled by the strength of megahit 'Bad Girls Club' and its dating competition offshoot 'Love Games: Bad Girls Need Love Too,' Oxygen Media earned its best Monday traditional prime (Mon 8p-11p) ever among A18-49, W18-49, A18-34 and W18-34. At 9PM, 'Bad Girls Club' earned A18-49 (1.033 MM), W18-34 (599,000), and 1.613 MM total viewers, up +18%, +10% and +19% respectively from last week. In the 9PM hour, Oxygen was the #2 English language television network, behind only ABC, and the #1 cable network among W18-34. At 10PM, the season two premiere of 'Love Games' earned A18-49 (713,000), W18-34 (397,000), and 1.255 MM total viewers. Compared to the prior four week time period average, the season premiere of 'Love Games Season 2' was up +126% with P18-49, and +166% on a total viewer basis, and +122% among W18-34. On Oxygen.com, compared to the premiere of 'Love Games Season 1,' unique visitors to the 'Love Games' show site showed positive growth of +47% yesterday.

Kennedy Center Presents Penumbra Theatre's I WISH YOU LOVE, 6/11-19

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts presents the Penumbra Theatre production of I Wish You Love written by Dominic Taylor and directed by Lou Bellamy. Following its world premiere at Penumbra Theatre in Saint Paul, Minnesota, the drama with music runs June 11 to 19, 2011 in the Kennedy Center Terrace Theater. I Wish You Love is produced with the assistance of the Kennedy Center Fund for New American Plays. The press opening for I Wish You Love will take place on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. The production features Dennis W. Spears as Nat -King? Cole, singing more than 20 of Cole's beloved songs. Additional casting includes Kevin D. West as Oliver Moore, Eric Berryman as Jeffrey Prince, and Michael Tezla as Bill Henry.

Wendy Williams to Host LOVE TRIANGLE on GSN, 4/18

GSN (Game Show Network) announced today that it has signed an agreement with popular television personality, radio star and best-selling author Wendy Williams to host a new original strip series, LOVE TRIANGLE, premiering April 18, 2011 on GSN, with 32 episodes. The unique talk-show/game-show format will focus on a dater caught in a real-life love triangle, as Williams helps him or her explore every aspect of both relationships en route to the dramatic moment when a life-changing decision is made.

The man behind The Marvelous Wonderettes, it's holiday-themed sequel The Winter Wonderettes, The Andrews Brothers, and recent crowd-pleaser Life Could Be A Dream is back at it again, this time with a slew of 60's hippie-rock tunes to shape his new staged hits parade SUMMER OF LOVE, which recently had its world premiere at Musical Theatre West in Long Beach as part of the 2011 Festival of New American Musicals. Kate Royal's new album, A Lesson in Love, which will be released in the U.S. on March 8, raises the curtain on a busy spring season for the British soprano in North America, beginning in March when Royal appears with the Boston Symphony for an imaginatively-programmed concert of music inspired by Shakespeare's The Tempest. Soon after, Royal heads to New York to begin rehearsals for her Metropolitan Opera debut in April, and in May she gives a three-city recital tour that will feature the program from the new album.
