Tony and Emmy Award-Winner Mandy Patinkin Returns to Scottsdale, 2/1-2

East Lynne Theater Company Receives Grant from Travel and Tourism

The Equity professional East Lynne Theater Company is receiving $14,400.00 from the Cooperative Marketing Grant sponsored by the New Jersey Department of State: Division of Travel and Tourism. The award was given based on the scores of an independent evaluation and funding review committee that studied ELTC's application and marketing plan. This is the sixth year in a row that ELTC has received this prestigious grant, and it will be used solely for advertising.

Legacy Recordings, the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment, will celebrate the 40th anniversary of Blue Oyster Cult--unleashed in 1972, the eponymous debut album from America's heaviest psychedelic metal band presaged punk, thrash and hardcore--with the release of Blue Oyster Cult - The Columbia Albums Collection, a monumental career-spanning BOC library comprised of 16 CDs (the full official canon plus two discs of rarities) and the mythic Some OTHER Enchanted Evening DVD (a blistering concert video from 1978). The highly-collectible boxed set will be available today, October 30.

Joffrey Ballet Launches Season with HUMAN LANDSCAPES, 10/17-28

The Joffrey Ballet's 2012-2013 season launches this fall with a mixed repertory program titled "Human Landscapes," featuring three choreographers exploring principles of the human spirit through dance. The Joffrey brings James Kudelka's critically acclaimed Pretty BALLET back to the stage along with Ji?i Kylian's rarely seen work Forgotten Land. A highlight of the season is the ground-breaking anti-war ballet The Green Table, choreographed by Kurt Jooss in the aftermath of World War I. The "Human Landscapes" program is presented in 10 performances only at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University, 50 E. Congress Parkway, October 17 - 28, 2012.

Beginning performances tonight, May 6th, Xanadu will be transforming Signature's MAX Theatre into one big disco-ball heaven - complete with satin shorts and roller skates! Nominated for four Tony Awards® (including "Best Musical"), the musical features a Book by Douglas Carter Beane, with Music and Lyrics by Jeff Lynne and John Farrar. Heiskell, chairman of the Board of The New 42nd Street since its founding in 1990, has relinquished her post and been named Honorary Chair, Cora Cahan, President of The New 42nd Street announced today. Ms. Heiskell has been succeeded as Chairman by Fiona Howe Rudin, who joined the Board in 2004, and has served as a Vice Chair since 2008.
