Back on April 1, when he posted his third compilation of delayed cabaret reviews from shows staged during the winter, BroadwayWorld.com's lead New York cabaret reviewer promised Number 4 would come with arrival of summer. Okay, so he missed his self-imposed deadline by a couple of weeks. but here's yet another catch-up column with critiques of a half dozen spring shows performed by Bryan Batt, Dawn Derow, Lynly Forrest, Dennis McNeil, Anastasia Barzee, and Nina Hennessey.

The 40-date VANS WARPED TOUR--well established as America's premier music and lifestyle festival tour of the summer--is set to kick off today, June 15 in Auburn, WA at White River Amphitheater and wrap up August 4 in Houston, TX at Reliant Park. The Film Society of Lincoln Center announced today the lineup for this year's edition of Latinbeat, July 12-21. Opening Night launches with LA PAZ by prolific Argentinian filmmaker, Santiago Loza, who has showcased his work at the festival since 2000, and is also an influential playwright in the indie theater scene of Buenos Aires. This year's lineup also includes the previously announced retrospective of filmmaker, Matias Piñeiro, who will screen his films THE STOLEN MAN and THEY ALL LIE during the festival while simultaneously theatrically opening VIOLA and ROSALINDA at the Film Society of Lincoln Center on July 12th.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Patrick Willingham) and Theater for a New Audience (Founding Artistic Director Jeffrey Horowitz; Managing Director Dorothy Ryan and Chairman of the Board, Henry Christensen III) will present THE WALLACE SHAWN-ANDRÉ GREGORY PROJECT in 2013, a celebration of the remarkable 40-year collaboration between Wallace Shawn and Andre Gregory. The two plays, THE DESIGNATED MOURNER and GRASSES OF A THOUSAND COLORS, will offer a long overdue retrospective of Shawn's work as well as an opportunity for him to appear on the New York stage again under Gregory's direction. The Public Theater presented Shawn's first play in New York, Our Late Night, in 1975, directed by Gregory.
