Directed by Associate Artist, Jason Cannon, performances begin in the Keating Theatre tonight, September 23 and will play through November 14 to students from Sarasota and Manatee County schools.

OPERA America, the national service organization for opera, is pleased to announce the first round of recipients of its new program: Opera Grants for Female Composers, made possible through the generosity of The Virginia B. The Public Theater announced the line-up today for the 2014 free Shakespeare in the Park season, continuing a 52-year tradition of free theater in Central Park. FST will be teaching a series of 14 Spoken Word workshops from October through December at Booker Middle School. The theme of these workshops will be Speak! Of Service, Of Country, Of Freedom.
