Obsession, Desire and Ambition explored through the eyes of a madman. Frankenstein - A New Musical with music by Mark Baron, lyrics by Jeffrey Jackson, and a book by Jackson and Gary P. Cohen, is based on the Gothic Horror Classic by Mary Shelley, and brought to life with panache and flair. This musical follows the ill-fated life of an ambitious Victor Frankenstein who creates a monster and is forced to face the monster within.

Museum of the Moving Image will present the most comprehensive U.S. retrospective of all of the Polish director's features, short films, early documentary work, and a marathon viewing of the Dekalog, from October 7 through November 6, 2016. The series will also include four posthumous works based on Kieslowski's unproduced screenplays.

ONSTAGE in Bedford Artistic Director Michael B. Winters announced tonight via Facebook the theater's 32nd season, which will be performed at the Trinity Arts Theater in the historic Bedford Boys Ranch. The new season will begin in January, 2017, with a mix of classic plays and newer works, including a regional premiere and three area premiere productions, as well as a new program the theater is calling 'SpotON',  a spotlight series featuring new works, staged readings and more.

Back in February, BroadwayWorld reported that stage and screen star Kevin Kline would star in The Acting Company's reading presentation of Noel Coward's charming comedy PRESENT LAUGHTER. Now he's taking the show to Broadway, according to the New York Times.

Executive Producers Roy Nevans and John Lant, in association with Edmund Gaynes, have announced the extention of 2 By Tennessee Williams: 27 WAGONS FULL OF COTTON starring Kathryn Luce Garfunkel and KINGDOM OF EARTH. Both plays are directed by Marilyn Fried and will run now through October 1st.
