Per il quinto anno consecutivo, la Bernstein School of Musical Theatre scalda l'estate bolognese portando in scena cinque musical nell'ambito del Summer Musical Festival. Dopo gli appuntamenti in due dei teatri piu importanti della citta ("All Shook Up" al Teatro Il Celebrazioni e "Crazy For You" al Teatro Duse), il 29 giugno il Festival ha abbracciato uno scenario diverso ed originale: un tendone da circo. Il 29 giugno debuttano infatti due spettacoli di produzione BSMT, "Assassins" e "Bernarda Alba", nel tendone del MagdaClan Circo montato nel Parco di Villa Angeletti, in quella zona della citta con una pessima reputazione piu comunemente nota come Bolognina che, almeno per quattro sere, e stata piu Broadway e meno Bronx.

Venni a sapere dell'esistenza di un musical chiamato 'IL PRINCIPE RANOCCHIO' un paio di anni fa, e sul momento la cosa mi lascio indifferente, perche pensai si trattasse solo dell'ennesimo mockbuster disneyano (vedi a questo proposito l'articolo sul family-musical). Tuttavia il grande successo di pubblico di questo spettacolo, e il fatto che di recente abbia ricevuto ben due nomination agli Oscar italiani del Musical ('migliori musiche' e 'miglior spettacolo') mi ha incuriosito, cosi ho deciso di approfittare di una data al Teatro Nuovo di Milano per andarlo a vedere.

WQXR's online new-music station Q2 Music will broadcast the 2016 NJSO Edward T. Cone Composition Institute concert, "Scores: New Orchestral Works," on Tuesday, October 18, at 9 pm. The program-a live NJSO performance under the baton of David Robertson, recorded on July 16 at the Richardson Auditorium in Princeton-features new works by the four composers of the 2016 NJSO Edward T. Jordan Vineyard & Winery Announces Apiary With Flow Hives, Bringing Honey on Tap to Wine Country

Jordan Vineyard & Winery announces the installation of its first apiary, which includes three Flow Hives, a crowdsourcing phenomenon from Australia that broke pledge records when the invention was unveiled last year. According to Flow, Jordan is likely the first U.S. vineyard to get on board, having pledged their support on the very first day of the campaign. At least six U.S. wineries now have Flow Hives in operation, including Sonoma County's Jordan and Lasseter, both of which have made these beehives available for consumers to view. Jordan's first Flow Hive video debuts today.
