Bounce TV (www.bouncetv.com), the nation's first-ever broadcast television network for African Americans, will honor Black History Month in February with a month-long programming tribute including some of the greatest African American stories, motion pictures and performances of all-time every Sunday night.

La MaMa will celebrate their 2013 season of performances with a gala honoring two pillars of arts journalism: former Village Voice critic Michael Feingold, and publisher Patsy Tarr of 2wice. Throughout their long careers, these two individuals have carved out a voice for the arts, championing countless artists working across platforms.

Nine of Miles Davis' earliest albums on Columbia Records, encompassing music that he recorded for the label in monaural sound from 1956 to 1961 (and released from 1957 to 1964), will be issued together on CD for the first time as Miles Davis:The Original Mono Recordings. This historic box set, comprising nine CDs in mini-LP replica jackets, will be available everywhere today, November 12, 2013 through Columbia/Legacy, a division of Sony Music Entertainment.

Co-presented with The Japan Foundation, the series launches with Akira Kurosawa's High and Low (October 18); continuing with Kenji Mizoguchi's The Life of Oharu(November 16); Yasujiro Ozu's Equinox Flower (December 12), screening on Ozu's birthday and the 50th anniversary of his death; Mitsuo Yanagimachi's Himatsuri (January 24), unavailable on DVD; and Hirokazu Kore-eda's After Life (February 19), marking the one-year anniversary of Richie's death.

For the first time in over fifty years, Harbinger Records will release 'Ballads for the Age of Science,' the most successful educational recordings of all time, as a six-CD box set. Featuring more than four dozen original songs written by Hy Zaret, co-author of the iconic popular song 'Unchained Melody,' and Lou Singer between 1959 and 1961, the albums introduced scientific concepts and terms using catchy, easy-to-learn lyrics and music to grade school students across America in the early 1960s.

ANTHEM, presented by The Austin Shakespeare Theatre Company based on the acclaimed Ayn Rand novel, announced that Nadine Strossen, former president of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and the first woman and youngest person to ever lead the ACLU will be participating in a talkback following the 8pm performance onTuesday, October 15th. ITV Studios and MASTERPIECE on PBS/WGBH have announced a co-production agreement for Breathless, a stylish and compelling new medical drama set in London in 1961, starring Jack Davenport as a brilliant surgeon who believes he can make a difference in womens' lives.

Celebrating the 80th birthday of playwright and novelist David Storey, the first London production in over 30 years - and the first production in London since the original National Theatre production- David Storey's Early Days plays at the Finborough Theatre for a limited run of nine Today and Monday evening and Tuesday matinee performances from tonight, 16 June 2013 (Press Night: Monday 17 June 2013 at 7.30pm).
