On Friday, October 26 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, October 28 at 2:30 p.m., Harbor Lights' stirring a cappella renditions of Under the Boardwalk, The Lion Sleeps Tonight and My Girl will 'transport audiences back to a more simple, romantic time when life was far less complicated.' Due to the fact that the NYC Parks Department is closing all city parks on Sunday evening at 7:00pm and keeping them closed through Monday night which includes Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Garden, The Harbor Lights Theater Company's upcoming production of the King and I is moving its opening night to Saturday, November 3 at 8 pm rather than Friday, November 2. Snug Harbor Closure Moves Harbor Lights Theater's THE KING AND I Opening to Nov 9

The Mayor's Office has ordered the closure and lockdown of all parks tomorrow (Wednesday) at 12:00 noon because of the approaching storm. Snug Harbor will close completely at noon and remain closed until Thursday at noon (unless the site suffers additional damage from the storm). Because of concerns of additional tree dangers, flooding, and possible loss of electricity, we are heeding the Mayor's directive and shutting down. (more...)
