Amadeus runs September 15 through 30. Nat Zegree, Jerry Lee Lewis from last year's smash hitMillion Dollar Quartet, returns to Flat Rock Playhouse to star as one of the original bad boys of popular music... Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Summer may be drawing to a close, but Fall is about to heat up at Flat Rock Playhouse with a brand new Music on the Rock paying tribute to 5-time Grammy winner, Lionel Richie, and the lead singer of Motown's most successful act, Diana Ross. With hits that caused a Chain Reaction for Americans and music lovers across the world, this dynamic duo will turn the Music on the Rock series Upside Down with Endless Love and hit tunes that could make even Fools Fall in Love. The Music of Lionel Richie & Diana Ross will run from September 28th October 8th at The Flat Rock Playhouse Downtown on Main Street in Hendersonville.

The poignant production of "A PICASSO" by Jeffrey Hatcher, will return to Los Angeles for a limited engagement, presented by The Promenade Playhouse. Starring Natalia Lazarus and Charles Fathy and directed by Natalia Lazarus. Opening in French on October 7th @ 7:30PM & 8th @ 5PM. The production will run through November 11th.

The 1941 ARSENIC AND OLD LACE gets a dusting off from the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble providing a wonderfully expressive vehicle for the acting talents of Sheelagh Cullen and Jacque Lynn Colton as Abby and Martha Brewster, the seemingly harmless and most delightful murderers of their single unattached male boarders. Cullen and Colton totally charm while dithering on ever so casually describing their deadly deeds as calmly as sharing a recipe of elderberry pie.

The Flat Rock Playhouse has been awarded a grant of $30,000 by the Community Foundation of Henderson County.

For those who have never attended THE PAGEANT OF THE MASTERS live show or its sister event THE FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS in Laguna Beach, you are missing a wonderful treasure of not only art but theatrical spectacle during which historical works of arts are brought to life with real people stepping in to portray the characters in each piece of art, be it a painting, sculpture, or promotional advertisement for artistic spectacles taking place all over the world. Featuring songs from Broadway sensations like Evita, Cats and The Phantom of the Opera, Music of the Night: The Songs of Andrew Lloyd Webber plays on the Mainstage August 25th - September 3rd.

American Composers Orchestra (ACO) announces its complete 2017-2018 season, Dreamscapes, under the leadership of Artistic Director Derek Bermel, Music Director George Manahan, and President Edward Yim, featuring ten world, U.S., and New York premieres by a diverse set of composers. ACO continues its concerts at Carnegie Hall's Zankel Hall (December 8, 2017 and April 6, 2018) while expanding its presence in New York to include performances at Jazz at Lincoln Center (November 7, 2017) and as part of the 2018 PROTOTYPE Festival (January 12-14, 2018). ACO continues to take its commitment to fostering new work beyond the stage in its annual Underwood New Music Readings (June 21 and 22, 2018) for emerging composers, now in its 27th year, and through EarShot, the National Orchestra Composition Discovery Network, which brings the Readings experience to orchestras across the country.

Dallas Summer Musicals and Performing Arts Fort Worth have announced a co-presentation of the first U.S. national tour hit musical THE BODYGUARD, to play at the Music Hall at Fair Park July 18-30, 2017. This sensational production will then head over to Fort Worth, where it will play at Bass Performance Hall August 1-6, 2017.

???????Horton Foote's The Traveling Lady, directed by Austin Pendleton, opened on June 22 and was originally set to run through July 16, 2017, has been extended and will now run through July 30, 2017 at Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce St.).

The Oyster Mill Playhouse will present the comedy/drama HOLLYWOOD ARMS, by Carrie Hamilton and Carol Burnett, July 7 through July 23.
