Maestro Hans Graf will conduct the Houston Symphony in his final concerts as Music Director tonight, May 17 and the 18th. Ending his 12-year tenure, Graf will celebrate with the orchestra, staff and patrons in a grand performance of Mahler's Symphony No. 2, Resurrection. Joining the orchestra will be guest soloists Erin Wall, Bernarda Fink and the Houston Symphony Chorus under the direction of Charles Hausmann. The evening is sure to be one of bittersweet goodbyes and beautiful melodies for all who attend. Graf will return to conduct two concerts during the Symphony's 2013-14 Centennial Season as Conductor Laureate.

For the St. Olaf Choir and Conductor Anton Armstrong, national tours are a long-
standing winter tradition, and early 2013 they will present 11 concerts on the West Coast starting at Seattle's Benaroya Hall on Wednesday, Jan. 30, followed by three concerts in Oregon, five in California and two in Arizona … concluding in Tucson on Monday, Feb. 11. The tour also includes performances closer to home: Sioux Falls, S.D., Saturday, Jan. 26; Mason City, Iowa, Sunday, Jan. 27; and Stillwater, Minn., Saturday, Feb. 16.

Arizona Theatre Company announces the selection of THE LAST RED BOOK by Tucson writer Michael Fenlason as the winner of the 2011 Arizona Playwriting Award. Fenlason will receive a cash award and ATC will hold a reading of his play. The runner up for the Award was NO ROOSTERS IN THE DESERT by Kara Hartzler. ATC's Arizona Playwriting Award is in its second year. It recognizes an outstanding work for the stage by an Arizona writer.
