Gilliam, Waterston Lead Commonwealth Shakespeare Co's OTHELLO, Opens 7/28

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company (CSC) is pleased to announce thecasting for the company's 15 th annual free Shakespeare on the Common production, WilliamShakespeare's immortal drama, Othello, directed by CSC Founding Artistic Director Steven Maler. Othello will be performed at the Parkman Bandstand on Boston Common from July 28 to August 15.

Driver, Tucker et al Lead LITTLE DOC Cast for Rattlestick Playwrights; Opens 6/17

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater has announced the cast and creative team for the world premiere of Little Doc, written by award-winning filmmaker Dan Klores and directed by John Gould Rubin. Opening the company's 16th Season, performances of Little Doc will begin Friday, June 11 at Rattlestick Theatre (224 Waverly Place). The official opening night is set for Thursday, June 17. The production is scheduled to run through July 18.

Eugene O'Neill Theater Center Announces Opening Of Monte Cristo Cottage 5/27

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center announced today that Monte Cristo Cottage, boyhood summer home of Eugene O?Neill , setting for two of his most revered plays, Long Day?s Journey Into Night and Ah, Wilderness!, will be open for public tours Thursday, May 27 through Labor Day weekend; Thursday through Saturday, noon to 4 pm; Sundays 1-3 pm. The Cottage will be closed on Memorial Day and Labor Day.

William Roesch Named Associate Artist of The Old Globe

Old Globe Executive Producer Lou Spisto named William Roesch an Associate Artist of The Old Globe at a ceremony held on May 24. He is the 53rd artist to receive the prestigious honor which recognizes his unique contribution to the institution. Roesch both directed and acted at the Globe for more than 20 years and served as Associate Artistic Director from 1962 to 1969.
