As their 25th anniversary approaches, military captain, Edgar, and his wife, Alice, face off in a fierce battle of wills. Their sparring proves both harrowing and hilarious, amplified by the voice of celebrated playwright Conor McPherson (Port Authority, The Seafarer, Shining City, Dublin Carol). His adaptation brings lyricism and ferocity to the story of the tyrannical captain and his manipulative wife, and the "innocent" Kurt who stumbles into their midst and quickly finds himself ensnared in the couple's wicked game.
Kicking off its 20th Anniversary, Deaf West Theatre puts its own, unique spin on the classic story of a mischievous puppet who wishes to become a real, live boy. Using a mix of deaf and hearing actors, Stephen Rothman directs The Adventures of Pinocchio, a commedia dell arte adaptation of Carlo Collodi's 1883 novel by Lee Hall that brims with clever political subtext and sly social commentary. Deaf West's retelling of Pinocchio's treacherous journey through childhood opens February 19 at Deaf West Theatre in North Hollywood's NoHo Arts District, with two low-priced previews on February 17 and 18. (The Adventures of Pinocchio is rated 'PG' for mild language and dark themes - recommended for ages 10 and up.)

Wee Thomas is Padraic's only friend, and when Padraic learns of Wee Thomas' untimely and unnatural death, the carnage begins. His short list of suspects includes his father Donny (Seán G. Griffin) and his neighbor Davey (MJ Sieber). Aiding Padraic in his bloody quest for vengeance is Mairead (Elise Hunt), a young terrorist groupie, and stalking him are three of his fellow Irish National Liberation Army members (Tim Hyland, David Roby, and Brian D. Simmons), looking for vengeance of their own.
