Cabaret on the Lake is a free monthly variety show featuring storytellers, performance artists, singer-songwriters, comedians, and more. The event is held on the second Friday of each month at the Berger Park Cultural Center (6205 N Sheridan Road). This month's event will be held on Friday, April 10 at 7:30pm. Tickets are free. JetBlue Airways (NASDAQ: JBLU), New York's Hometown Airline today announces a special music showcase, including a pop-up record shop at JetBlue's Terminal 5 (T5) at JFK International Airport, as a precursor to Record Store Day. This Live From T5 concert will celebrate Record Store Day, an international annual tradition that honors independently owned record shops. Taking place on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 from 9am - 6pm, JetBlue and local record retailer, Other Music, will host an in-terminal record store experience complete with performances by artists spanning musical genres including country-blues-soul singer Elle King, punk pop artist Kevin Devine and indie rock band Caveman. While this won't be available for a few months yet, R. Brazilian Steakhouse Texas de Brazil (http://www.texasdebrazil.com/), announced today the start of a mouthwatering social media campaign that will run from April 1 st to April 30 th. The "All You Can Eat Card" contest will allow anyone who dines in at Texas de Brazil's New York City location throughout April to win a chance to eat for free for a total of 60 days. To enter to win, the diner simply needs to snap a photo of themselves holding one of the red and green Texas de Brazil table cards and post to Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #TexasdeBrazilNYC. The Texas de Brazil New York City location was opened in February of 2014 at 1011 Third Avenue on the Upper East Side and provides a one-of-a-kind dining experience to both locals and tourists. The contest winner will be chosen at random by Texas de Brazil and the winner will be able to take advantage of one free meal a day for a total of 60 days for him or herself and a guest (excluding gratuity and alcohol). Singer and actress Julie Wilson, arguably one of the greatest cabaret chanteuses to grace a stage, died early this morning at the age of 90, according to her long time accompanist and friend Christopher Denny, who posted the news on his Facebook page. As of 8:45 this morning, the news of Wilson's death had not yet broken through major news outlets. Denny reported that Wilson 'died peacefully, surrounded by people who loved her, after having sustained two strokes over the last several days.' Up until the past couple of months of her life, the energetic Wilson was still being seen at various cabaret shows around town and supporting the new breed of stars, recently having the time of her life at a Mark Nadler show at the York Theatre.
