On Saturday, November 26, Tony Award©-Winning Composer Jason Robert Brown will appear in a masterclass to the students of the Pasadena Musical Theatre Program (Ryan Scott Oliver, Artistic Director).

Today, on the eve of 112th anniversary of Duke Ellington's birth, New York City Center and Jazz at Lincoln Center are pleased to announce a new producing partnership that will combine the organizations' specialties: musical theater and jazz.

Now, Michael Riedel reports in the New York Post that the show is on the 'fast track' to Broadway, aiming for the 2012-13 season. The $10 million dollar production is to be directed by Gary Griffin (The Color Purple) and heading up the producing team is Dena Hammerstein.
