The New Actors Company in association with Neil McPherson for the Finborough Theatre presents THE GRAND DUKE. The Finborough Theatre's 'Celebrating British Music Theatre' series continues with the first fully staged professional UK production of Gilbert and Sullivan's final operetta, The Grand Duke, since the original 1896 production. It opens at the Finborough Theatre for a strictly limited run of six Sundays and Mondays from Sunday, 1 April 2012.

Andrew Lloyd Webber told SMH that he 'would like the show to tour Canada,' though he 'would not rush straight into Broadway.'

Cameron Mackintosh has announced details about the new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA premiering at the Theatre Royal Plymouth in March 2012, with previews from 27 February and a press night on 13 March 2012. THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA will star John Owen-Jones and Earl Carpenter, who will share the role of ‘The Phantom' and Katie Hall who will play the role of ‘Christine'. Presented by NCM Fathom and Omniverse Vision, a fully staged THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA AT THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL event is being broadcast to select theaters for an exclusive four-night run beginning with the LIVE broadcast on Sunday, October 2 at 2 p.m. ET / 11 a.m. PT; followed by pre-recorded broadcasts on Wednesday, October 5; Thursday, October 6 and one final encore on Tuesday, October 11 at 7:30 p.m. local time. The first box office numbers are in and, according to the UK Film Council, The Phantom of the Opera screenings took in £550,955 over the weekend alone. Final tallies for the addition screenings should be in by the end of the week.
