TV Land scored record-breaking numbers for its eighth annual 'TV Land Awards' hosted by Tim Allen, attracting nearly 2 million total viewers for its Sunday, April 25 (9-10:30 p.m. ET/PT) telecast. The star-studded special, held on the historic Stage 15 on the Sony Lot in Culver City, was the highest-rated and most-watched TV Land Awards since 2004 among the network's key demos of: Adults 25-54, Adults 40-54, Women 25-54 and among total viewers. The network also witnessed double-digit ratings gains over last year's 'TV Land Awards' across all these demos.

The Steppenwolf Theatre Company Ensemble is pleased to announce its newest member, playwright Tarell Alvin McCraney. Among his many accomplishments, McCraney is the author of the critically-acclaimed The Brother/Sister Plays, currently playing at Steppenwolf through May 23, 2010. As a playwright, he has collaborated with Steppenwolf ensemble member Tina Landau on seven productions and readings nationally. He also appeared on stage at Steppenwolf in Landau's 2004 production of Theatrical Essays. Additionally, McCraney was recently commissioned by Steppenwolf, through support from the Joyce Foundation Awards, to write a new play for the Steppenwolf ensemble based on the biblical book of Job. The Steppenwolf ensemble, the longest-existing theater ensemble in the U.S., now totals 43 members.

The official album features the 24-member cast accompanied by Green Day, marking another incredible collaboration between the band and the musical. Angela Lansbury and Catherine Zeta-Jones, currently starring in the Broadway revival of A Little Night Music, have joined the all-star cast performing in Stephen Sondheim's 80th birthday celebration April 26 at New York City Center. Like Lansbury and Zeta-Jones, all of the performers have either originated Sondheim characters or performed them in notable revivals.

MetroStage's production of MAHALIA starring Bernardine Mitchell, S. Renee Clark and William Hubbard will end the award-winning production of Mahalia, a gospel musical, by Tom Stolz, on March 14th. The production began performances on January 21st.
