Electric City Playhouse Announces Season Schedule
by Nicole Rosky - Sep 30, 2010

On the heels of announcing their plans to build a new theatre on South Main Street next to The Fox Pub, the Electric City Playhouse has just released their 2011 Season Schedule: Nunsense Jamboree, the third outrageously funny musical in the popular Nunsense series (all previously performed at ECP), is a fast-paced, hilarious hoe-down with a Laugh-In-Hee-Haw-Grand-Ole-Op'ry slant. It will run February 10-27. The second of the season, Moon Over Buffalo, is the play famous for bringing Carol Burnett back to Broadway. Widely known as one of the great American comedies, performances dates are April 7-17. On May 19-June 5 the all African-American Crowns, a moving and celebratory musical in which hats become a springboard for an exploration of black history and identity, while gospel music and dance help to underscore and support the narrative, will take over the ECP stage.
